Tuesday Dec. 29/08 fine. Boys hauled manure 6 lds I went to town got windows fixed 20 Got W.B. window fixed. 50¢ dep $27 - Bank & drew ten. got a B.R. Cockerel. from Preston $3{^00}

Wensday 30th Soft. Boys chored & I went to School meeting in morning. Mr Barber was reelected. Trustee and we went over the report. act. Willie went to mill with grist of chop oats & peas in Afternoon. I gave W. Batty Check for Thursday $110 to send to his Father. And. have promised to pay him $13{^84} in morning.

Thursday 31st blustery & Cold. We Chored & I took W. Batty to station and Paid him in full to date $110{^00} Check to his Father $13{^84} in Cash. I then got horse shod groceries 35{^¢}. we spent at to M & Mrs Donis in Evening. Mr & Mrs R. Shortreed Andrew Simpson and Mrs Noris were there. We spent a pleasant Evening. bred E.P. Mayflower 8th to E.P. Ringleader 3rd

Friday Jan 1st 09. blustery. We Chored & Mr House came in afternoon and took a look at Cattle. we also had a chat about school matters. gave Harry 25¢ for New Year bred E.P. Keepsake 3rd to E.P. Mailbag
