April 7 Saturday 7

Rained nearly all day, rained so hard & the roads were, so muddy we couldn't go to Mrs. Appleford's funeral. The Paulbear's had to carry her to the road & the lane was too muddy & no footing for them, I guess they had all they could to get there, Harry is a going to stay again to night. Harry & Melba painted the reseen doors, all the reseens on the veranda. John got agrist & got his horn cut.

April 8 Sunday 8 Cold wind. But very muddy Snowing off and on all day Snowing off hard sense tinkes you could hardly see the bars the {illegible} melted to night it is freezing hard. Osmond came with his car to night. Harry stayed all night John was up to Jeno Meaver's
