down to Johnson's to see about children singing for S.S. sermon next Sun. Edith came to gate with me. I went back to hill with her then came home. After Ma W.S. & Edith came with his new buggy and took me for a short drive. Making up Register for the month of May.

Tues. 5th. Edith, Nettie & I practise with children at church after school. Rained so did not go down to prayer meeting. Sarah let colt out second time & was gone all forenoon hunting it. came back without it. Chas. Beinston called for "Miss."

Wed. 6th. Miss English gave me 3rd. music lesson since her return. Katie Douglas & Ada Johnson & Edna here for tea & Mr. M.M. Gave Sarah her music lesson. Cleaned upstairs.

Thurs. 7th. Cleaning ma's bedroom. Arthur Pickard missing since last night. Searching everywhere and Mr. Stewart found his poor little body by the pier near warehouse this afternoon. Gave Ada 6th. lesson. Stay then for tea & Miss Holloran goes with me to see Arthur. Met ma at P.O. & come home together. Fri. 8th. No school in afternoon, to attend Arthur's funeral. Us girls sang "Going Down the Valley." Messrs. Ferguson & Harris both addressed a large congregation.
