Fri. 27th. Mary Pickard here washing in A.M. Looked like rain so Edith & Mrs. Buck did not come till after dinner to pick currants. A great thunder storm came up about six o'clock so the other pickers went home but they stayed for tea & till nearly nine. We went to corner with them.

Sat. 28th. Picking berries in A.M. till 11 train went. Fixing our clothes for Sun. in afternoon. All untidy when Ella & her mother came. Laura & Ida run. E.M. away to Toronto to-day. Came home on 7 train. Ella brought up some bread after she went home. Mandy Hixson home from Toronto. She & her mother called in ev'g.

Sun. 29th. Slept late. Went to S.S. & church. Stayed for class. Mr. Ferguson preached well. Max & E.M. here in ev'g. Max & I went for a drive to Oakville. E.M. took M L. & Ella McKay up to Mt. Pleasant church in ev'g. Ma & M.W. & pa went to Foster's. When I came home I went down in spare room where the girls were & we had a circus - such laughing. Such a beautiful sky to-night - lovely Northern Lights.
