B.S. Halladay's. Ethelyn & her husband there - all going home Monday Morning. Did some cleaning up desk, mantel etc. Went to Wiarton with Charlie & Duncan to meet Alice & babe at late train. Did some shopping & had some ice cream. Beautiful moonlit night & fine drive. cool.
Sunday Aug. 29th.
Very hot & stuffy. Had Morning swim. Did some packing & read "Now It Can Be Told. Went to Church. Mr. Pilkie preached - was 15 minutes late - watch wrong. Dorothy Engel sang "Patiently, Tenderly, Jesus is calling" beautiful. Violin played by M. Pilgrim. Dorothy's voice "greatly developed. Rest went for a launch ride before church. We went for a launch ride in the evening. No gas in the boat so we had to wait while Jack and Charlie went up for it. Made our ride a dark one but very pleasant.
