Charles. While waiting wrote an advertising story for Alma. Then Mr. Caldwell came in and did the agreement. Dorothy came down and she and I went to the Bijou. Play "The Egg-Crate - Wallop" was very good. Scurried around for an hour getting absorbini Jr. ready for Dorothy etc.

Thursday Sept. 9th.

Nice day in Morning but cloudy by noon. Worked in the garden for an hour. Went down for meat. Dorothy came along. Called at Tuer's with their jar of canned tomatoes (Mrs. Ryan did while we were all away to keep them from spoiling) Got atomizer fixed & invested in some Ruz-mah tablets for D's hay-fever. Spent some time trying to find Dorothy's poem on "Springtime in Flanders". Found at last and she wrote another this afternoon. I went down town to get the Mail and then played one set and four games of tennis with Duncan.
