Leitch (busy). At Mair's to see Sanderson's baby. Mrs. Sanderson on Mair's verandah. At Mrs. George Stanley's (away) at Johnston's to see Myrle Safana (out) and at Jean Bell's where we discussed whether insane Murderers should be hanged or not. After tea Charles and I went around to get Mr. Phillips to come to work in the garden and called at Yager's to get Mr. Yager to come and cut down some trees we want removed. Dorothy and I went to the Bijour to see Geraldine Farrar in "The World and Its Woman".
Saturday Oct. 16th.
Grey day with spells of sunshine. Got up for the early train and went over to station with Charles who is going to the Red Cross banquet, given for Herbert Hoover in Toronto to-night and is then going to Hamilton for Sunday and Thanksgiving. Did some mending and darning. Was out in garden with instructions for Mr. Phillips. Went down with s.s. collection and to the Store
