with Dorothy who was trying on coat etc. Walked my ten miles at last (down 2nd for a mile, few drops of rain so turned back 1/4 of a mile from the corner, down to Neil Moore's corner, called in at the house (Charlie's) on way back, then round same 5 mile block and finished with a half mile around the race track to make up the ½ Mile on the 2nd) 10 miles plus, distance from house to Victoria Park & back. Called at the Manse twice - to ask Mr. Tuer to take Charles' s.s. class and with some snowdrops. After tea knit 17 rows on Dorothy's skirt.

Sunday Oct. 17th.

Misty day. Went to church twice and to S.S. Dorothy went to church in the Morning only. Mother was up after church. When I was at s.s. Dorothy Engel arrived and she and Dorothy had a great old gossip. Mr. Lavack sang two Solos at night. Very powerful voice and wonderful singer. Only Charlie, Frances & Isabel at church so they did not come up but
