for Doug and went to Scott's on the way home where I ordered grapes sent to Dorothy. Cut out a pumpkin Jack -O-Lantern for Doug. Called for Dorothy, Mrs. Ferguson & Winnie & went to station (Nell & Doug along.) Mrs. Ferguson & I went home - had dinner on train. As Mrs. Ferguson's house cold had her stay here all night.
Friday Oct. 29th.
Got s.s. collection ready and also contributions to Mrs. F. Fund & took them down to the Bank. Called at Store to look at chintz etc. & at office where I got two more contributions so took them to bank. Explained to Jimmie Green what I wanted done in the garden. Called at Mrs. Ferguson's with her umbrella and coat. Wrote to Dorothy and Nell. Wrote up diary from time I left until my return. went down town in afternoon and called at Wright's with Charles to see about table for Dorothy.
