Mr. Phillips. Mrs. Ferguson & Mrs. Beattie called to see Charles about Red Cross work.

Thursday Nov. 4th.

Cool. Nice day. Explained to Mrs. Green about curtains for bamboo stand. Went down town for meat and up to Glenn's (next Woollen Mill) to get M. Glenn to come and crate chair, table and stand for Dorothy. Knit 3 3/4 inches of skirt for Frances. Had a 5 mile walk. (out to McTavish's corner, up to top of hill and back.) Went over to see how Mrs. Hooper was after tea.

Friday Nov. 5th.

Grey day. Charles went to Walkerton at 8.30 this morning. Went down town in the morning to the bank, for meat and to get some curtain poles for Mrs. (Dr.) Sinclair. Knit 4 1/4 inches on skirt for Frances. Got Dorothy's things ready to send to her. Went down town in the afternoon with dishes for Charlie to pack for Dorothy. Mr. Glenn
