Friday Dec. 3rd.

Just like Indian Summer. Charles feeling somewhat better but not up yet. Knit the cuffs for Frances' dress. Went down for the Mail and Mrs. Beattie and I went up to see Mother who is still in bed but feeling somewhat better. Brought the Mail home and then went down to the Rannie's for my last innoculation at present. Mr. Caldwell was up after tea and Duncan spent the evening here as usual. Wrote to Clare.

Saturday Dec. 4th.

Raining hard all day. Colder at night. Charles still in bed. Went down to Bank in the morning with s.s. money and to get some books and papers for Charles and after dinner went for the Mail. Mother is up to-day Charlie tells me as it is too wet and I am too busy to go up. Mr. Bell called in the afternoon. Knit nearly all the collar for Frances' dress.
