Thursday Dec. 9th.

Beautiful day. Hunted up Dorothy's purple suit in the attic. Charles got up about 11 a.m. and stayed up until 10.30 p.m. Went down town in the morning to report the telephone out of order. Ripped part of Dorothy's skirt. Wrote a letter for Charles. Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Simpson called just as I was going to call on Jennie Adolph so could not go. Went down for the Mail after dinner and called at Mrs. Beattie's to arrange to go calling in the evening. Mr. Caldwell called in the evening. Wrote to Lottie Halliday and Miss McEachran & Clare. Mrs. Beattie and I called on Miss McCullough (H.S. Teacher at Mrs. Crow's) out, then on Miss Millar. (H.S. Teacher at Miss Lizzie Milne's) Had a nice chat with her.

Friday Dec. 10th.

Half rain & Half Snow. Charles got up about 11 a.m. and stayed up until 10 p.m. Seems somewhat better. Went down to the bank in the morning and
