down town for some {pillow?} sheets. Went to practise at church. Then went down town for a couple of parcels. After tea at had practise at the hose and typed part of "The Chronicle of the Sea Gull" Dorothy working at it while I was busy with the practise. Duncan was here all evening doing his illustrations for "The Chronicle of the Sea Gull."
Thursday Dec. 22nd. {23rd}
Stormy day. Wrote to Miss Ward and Miss Small. Wrote a whole bunch of letters for Charles. Went down town after dinner for the Mail and did some shopping. Went to the S.S. practise at 5 p.m. after addressing our Christmas cards which just arrived. parcelled Christmas gifts all evening and Dorothy, (Charlie Duncan (who arri ved about 11 p.m.) and I went to the Station at 12.20 to meet Nell and Doug. Train got in about ten minutes to one. Great crowd at station & great crowd got off here.
