Called to enquire how Mrs. Duncan McLean was - better. Got my letters from Mr. McDonald re Mrs. Ferguson presentation and went around to see Mrs. Ferguson about putting card in. Went back there with cards and to Mrs. Ross' and Stevens' to see them about their cards etc. being missed. Judge Greig was here for tea as it was court day. Worked at my tray cloth awhile. Went to a card party at Caldwell's at 9 p.m. Had a fine time, 34 there. Snowing quite hard when I got home.
Wednesday Jan. 12th.
Beautiful sunshiny day. Charles went to Walkerton this morning to meeting of Mother's Pension Committee. Went with Mr. Beattie in a car. Writing notes and addressing letters re Mrs. Ferguson presentation. Wrote about 25 notes & typed 45 slips. Went down town for Mail. Charles got home about a quarter to six. Snowing hard, about 4 or 5 inches. Had a nasty trip home.
