but no one at home. Coming home met Mrs. Wilson just leaving one place so got her to come back. While she was here Mrs. Ferguson called. Read Phillip Gibb's "Wounded Souls." Very cold night. 6° below zero.
Tuesday Jan. 18th.
Cold day but sunshiny. Washed my hair. Typed Session Report for Charles. Went to Miss Milne's to fit my dress then up to see Mother. Made out the Treasurer's Report for Congregational Meeting. Went to Tuer's then up to pay farewell visit to Bells' who leave on Thursday for California. Called at Public Library with books. Wrote to Dorothy, Clare and Glenn Ross. Cold at night but somewhat milder than last night. 6° below zero this morning.
Wednesday Jan. 19th.
Very cold. Made out Secretary's Report for Congregational Meeting. Typed it and Treasurer's Report. Went to bank and called at Mrs. Crow's to return book she lent us. Packed suit-case
