good. Lady Harvey & old Gardener fine but spoiled by Understudy having to read lines & by disappointment when we realized how great it would have been had Sir Martin Harvey been there. Mild. Raining when we
Friday Jan. 21st.
Rained very heavily in the night. Mild day. Went to walk over to get Charles' boots and to Eaton's to get him a cane for his birthday. Nell and Dorothy with us. Went to Queen's Hotel & took Dorothy & Gwen to lunch. Bells having lunch there. Visited in their room awhile. Went home. Went to Eaton's for cane & book & in to Dick's office. Mr. Douglas took us to the Station from there as Dick going to country with both cars. Said good bye to Dorothy and Nell at office. Train got home sharp on time. Mr. Workeman got on at Hanover.
Saturday Jan. 22nd.
Very mild. Thawing all day. Went down town for meat. When I came back took some of the ice off the sidewalk.
