Saturday Jan. 29th.
Very beautiful day, like Spring. Duncan was up in the Morning hunting words to be found in "Dayton Scales." I had to go to the office to get some work. Did the entries while I waited. Came home and typed the letters. Had two more letters and 3 copies of a By-law to do (about 2 hours work). Frances called and I went to Music Recital with her (at Alma's) where she played for 1st time (had 3 lessons) and Isabel played very well (12 lessons) After tea went to Public Library to get some books.
Sunday Jan. 30th.
Cold day. North wind. Went to Church & S.S. Morning Story for children about "Teeter-Totter". Where one is up, one must be down. Can't both be up at once. So in life, Christ went down that we might be raised up. Read "Peking /Dust" by Ellen N. La Motte, so American it makes one angry. Went to church at night. Morning
