sermon was on "Co-Operation." The night one on "New Ways of Service." God does not stand still. Things that were right in ages past are not right now. "Move on." In olden days the duties of a Canadian home were few. No newspapers, no cables. If a famine in Indian not our responsibility as we know nothing of it. The Romance of being able to send a part of oursel ves (heart, money etc.) in a flash to the end of the world (money by cable etc. ) Greatest romance in the world, greater than any novel. Charlie, Alice and Margaret came up after church.
Monday Feb. 1st.
Did some short-hand. Read Preface to "Albert 4th Earl Grey" by Harold Begbie. Typed some poems from book of Mr. Tuer's. Called at Tuer's to return book & say god-bye as they are going to Toronto to-morrow, until Friday Night. Went to office and did entries and called at Mrs. Ferguson's for "The Street
