  1. 15 the Revd Mr Austin preached in the Schoolhouse this forenoon a little rain John Young come home from cristie he is up helping Cristie

1869 August 16 very heavy rain last night & this forenoon I got J McMullin & Wm J Turner to draw sand for the church we moved the fence from the horse poster across to to the old house 17 began to cut the wheat in the north field it is a fine crop 18 worked at wheat I went to the funeral of old Mra Cornet in the afternoon She was buried at Robinsens the Revd Mr Fallock preached there was 45 waggons & buggys beside horsemen 19 worked at the wheat & drew in 3 loads of bound Rye 20 finishd the wheat this forenoon & raked up the 2 bushel sowing of Block oats & drew them in Ad & Billie helped Ben Young to thrash ir the afternoon I cut some of the Barley in the midle field north end east line 21 finished cuting the Barley Billie got some of the horses Shoes fixed with P.M. Moore & made a bargon with to Shoe by the year for 6} d dollors Ad helped T. Bradley to thrash I met the Rev Mr Chambers at the Station & took him to Reeds

  1. 22 went to Reeds Schoolhouse & heard the Revd Mr Chamber preach he had the Scacrement there & preachd in our School hous at night

23 raked & drew in the Barley Ad cut some of the oats at Sheepards 24 the Boys worked at Sheepards I went to Mr Dorling with Mr Austin I laid out a road betwer 17 & 18 in the first concession got dinner at Mr Keers & tea at Dorling 25 the thrashers here last night Burns & Rape we thrashed to day 19 bushel of Spring wheat 22 of oats 63 of Peas & Barley 26 finished this morning the Rye 32 bushel fall wheat 10 bushel drew in some of the Sprin

August 27 finished drawing in the wheat the forenoon then cut wheat at Shenparde vye Heacock & Mrs Stainin come hear to day fire weather 28 heavy rain to day no work except what I did in the Barn "29 Revd Mr Austin preachd in the Shoolhouse this afternoon 30 the Boys workd at Sheepards I fidled the peas out of the Barley & drew in a load of oats 31 went to gananoque with 10 bushel of wheat & some wool got two pocks 4d per lb the Boys cat the oats at home & hooked the Socities peas
