1920.

Wrote to Clare & Mrs. McDonald. Made a box for Blanche Gillies for Armenian Tag Day. 20° below zero. Slept inside.

January 16. Friday Thursday

Went to office in morning. After dinner made sandwiches (peanut butter and brown bread with walnuts) for the S.S. sleigh ride. Went down to the church. Then Mrs. M.A. Halliday, Mrs. S. Ewart and I went to McNeel's tea (for Mrs. Grant). Went back to church with Mrs. Crow and Mrs. Beattie calling at Crow's on way up. Impromptu programme some of the tiny Children very funny. Marked Mrs. Crow's "Boston Cooking School Cook Book for her. Blanche Gillies and Jessie Leslie called to get box. Had been tagging at the Hockey Match at the rink and had $14.85. Slept inside.

January 17 (Saturday)

Very stormy day. Was at the office all the morning. At noon ripped the collar of Dorothy's evening cloak and hemmed up neck. Took work book to Mrs. Crow and D's Cloak to store to be sent away to be dyed. Went to office where I worked until 6.15. Charles went to the Mr. Stanley's funeral. Josie & Zena both collapsed.
