Mrs. Crow, Mrs. W. Halliday, Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Stewart and Alice came up for dinner at six o'clock. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. W. T. U. have bought Mrs. Lindsay's Block & Ross & Warmington Must move out by 1st of June. Most Selfish, Autocratic Association in the World to-dau. It is said the Union is makring trouble for Krug's. Want an 8 hour day, a closed shop and $4.50 a day. Very cold night.
January 22 (Thursday)
Bright cold day. Went down to bank with S.S. money and to Miss Milne's to fit my dress. Made up my S.S. Reports - Treasurer and Secretary - took them down to Mr. M.A. Halliday. Called to see Mrs. Clarke but she was too ill to be seen. Is suffereing very much from nerves and seems to be growing weaker. Called at the Manse on the way home to get the Session Report from Mr. Tuer. (He is staying in as he has sore arm from Vaccination) Wrote to Dorothy and Clare. Mrs. Tuer brought up the report which was not finished when I was there. Practised half an hour. Room
