Charlie at church at night and they came up with me for awhile. Slept inside.
January 26 (Monday)
Practised an hour in the Morning and half an hour in the afternoon. Did some short-hand. Went up to see Mother. Mrs. Grant & Mrs. Ferguson were there. Called in to see Mrs. McGregor, whi sprained her ankle at Mrs. Sanderson's last week. Mrs. Hugh Warmington was there. The ankle is not very bad. Mrs. McGregor had her chickens under the table, a cat under the stove and the most untidy room imaginable. Can't imagine how she lives in it. Duncan came up after tea to see "Life". Looked over the Old Classical Manuscripts. I Read "The Clash." Much Milder to-day but windy so slept inside again to-night.
January 27. (Tuesday)
Nice Mild Morning. Pracised an hour and a half altogether. Read part of "The Clash" went down town to fit my dress. Shovelled the walk when I came home. Did some French. Called at the Manse to enquire gow Mr. Tuer's vaccination was getting along. Pretty sore arm Then went up to see
