1920

Went down town. Called at the Manse but there was nobody in. Went to Public Library and worked for awhile. Brought books and cards home with me. After tea wrote to Clare and then Charles and I went over to see Ferna who came home last night. She saw Dorothy in Toronto and says she looks well and likes her work

February 13 (Friday)

Wrote cards for the Library - about 200 or more. Heard at noon that Jim Stewart was dead in Waterloo. He had Flu and pnuemonia but had got over that but his heart gave out. His mother went down on Monday. He was ill about two weeks altogether. I went in to see Rena in the afternoon and then went to the Library where I worked until half past six. Practised 3/4 of an hour. Wrote to Dorothy and Wrote an address to be presented to Mr. Heinmiller by the Chosen Friends. Went down to the Manse about a quarter to 9 to read "Business is Business" to Miss Brownlee. Quite Mild. Shampooed my hair in the morning.
