March 23rd Tuesday
Did some work for Charles. Went down to get some meat. With crow bar Charles and I finished taking sow off in front of King's lot. Practised about half an hour. Mr. Caldwell and I went down at 4 o'clock and bought a cut glass fern bowl to presented to the Moores (Rev. & Mrs. Moore of Baptist Church) who are leaving for Georgetown. The McGaw Street Gang met here and then went to Biehn's where the Moores and Caldwells had been invited for the evening. I wrote an address and typed it for the occasion. The arrival of the gang was a grear surprise to the Moores. Had a good time. Duncan was up in the evening for awhile. Covered 2 cushions. Fine spring day.
March 24th Wednesday.
Did the entries and a couple of probates for Charles. Mrs. Holford was to leave on the noon train for Owen Sound to go into hospital. Likely to have an operation. I called to see if I could assist her but she did
