May 12th Wednesday

Did the entries and a couple of letters. Typed 28 copies of Forward Movement lists - 2 pages each single space) for Charles. M. Tuer called after dinner just as I was going to Mrs. Crow's for my lesson. Went down for my lesson. Wrote another letter for Charles after tea.

May 13th. Thursday

Went down town for meat. Called at Mrs. Green's to pay her for housecleaning and at Mrs. Beattie's. both out. Typed 25 Forward Movement letters for Charles who went out to Peter McTavish's with Mr. Halliday to canvas for Forward Movement. Wrote to Clarre and Frank. Practised ½ an hour. Very cool at night. Had to wear Dorothy's fur when I went down at 9 p.m. to post my letters and could feel the cold through my coat. Got telephone message from Rockwood that Ms. Joliffe is dead. Charles went to Preparatory Service.
