Follis, Alma Halliday, Mrs. Wm. King, (still in hospital at Kitchener) and to Miss Small. Went to Mrs. Crow's for my lesson. As it was raining when I was through she lent me an umbrella. Took it back to her before tea. Rained quite hard. Got our veranda chairs out to-day. The air was beautifully fresh and I sat on veranda to read the Globe. (in the rain) Kind of rain one likes to be out in.
May 20th. Thursday.
Very hot. Wrote a long letter for Charles in the Morning and took it down to him as it had to go on the noon train. Mrs. Ryan forgot her oven and burnt te pudding so I went down town for an ice cream brick. Wrote to Clare and Sophia Albright (for Clare to see if she would go to camp) Charles went out with Mr. M.A. H. to canvass on the Kirkwood line. Wrote another letter for Charles after dinner. He was collecting limbs cut off apple tree by prunner. Went to post letters at Post Office. Then called to see Miss
