Monday May 31st.

Worked in the garden until 12 a.m. (Put out 13 phlox, 13 petunias, 13 stocks and filled a bed with seeds. Did a probate for Charles. Got Dorothy's panama hat from attic, went down street, got a box at the store and mailed it to her. Went for a walk. Intended to call on Mrs. Wm. King, who returned from Waterloo Hospital on Friday night, but did not want to pass the bull dog. Watered plants after tea and went down to Church to discuss float "Canada Helps America" with Cavell girls. Mr. Tuer called in the Morning for list for Honour Roll. Some names added. Mrs. Oliver called in the evening, also some of the Cavell girls. Hot & dry.

Tuesday June 1st.

Did some typewriting for Charles. Worked in the garden all Morning. Went down town in the afternoon and called to see Mrs. Wm. King. found her fairly well but of course not very strong. After tea went over to Mrs. Beattie's to help her make cedar wreaths for side of float. Margaret,
