S.S. Mrs. Ryan went to Southampton, starting about 9 a.m. She, Mr. & Mrs. Green went in Mr. Beattie's car, (arranged by Charles) and Tim and Lillie Jacklin went in M. Burnett's car. Dorothy and I did the work. Charlie and Alice came around after tea and Charles and I went to Peabody Church with them. It was a fine night for a drive and we enjoyed it greatly. Regular little country church - small organ - coal oil lamp Chandeliers and long lengths of stove pipes. Minister was fairly good. Choir of 9 and an organizst- about 100 people there. Went down to Caldwell's after I got home.
June 28th. Monday.
Was at the office all day. Did not feel very well as had old pain in my side. Took some aspirin at noon. Duncan here for tea and he and Dorothy played tennis after tea. Watched them awhile, did some watering, went over to enquire for Miss Milne. Had good day. Then played Seven-Up with Duncan
