Did not go in. Went to the Bijou with Dorothy and saw a picture called "Thin Ice" - not too bad. Wrote to Aunt Maggie. Did some weeding in the afternoon. Raining all Morning but cleared up in the afternoon - not too hot.
Thursday July 15th.
Paris Greened the potatoes before breakfast as Mr. Clifton is away on his holidays and Charles cannot walk on the rough ground. Marked the tennis court. In the afternoon went with Dorothy for the Mail, (half holiday at office) then to Miss Leslie's to see if she could come to play tennis, then to store to get some Egyptian cotton to make gowns for Myself. Charles and I got Mr. Beattie's car and went out to call on Mr. Robert Oswald's, Mr. Hugh Sloan's and Mr. John Oswald's. My first calls in the country - enjoyed them very much.
