Tuesday July 20th.

Went down town for meat. fine day. Cleaned up Dorothy's room and the drawers in the spare room. (Guest room right expression now.) Helped Mrs. Ryan hull gooseberries and stem cherries. Strung some beads to go to the Mission box for the Indians. Mrs. Tuer called to return some books. After tea Wilfred Davison came up to learn a little about playing tennis. I played with him and then Charles gave him a few swift serves. Charles went to enquire for Miss Milne. Alma did not come home until to-night.

Wednesday July 21st.

Weeded my three flower beds at the back. Went down to Miss Milne's to try on my dress. Helped Mrs. Ryan get black cherries ready to preserve. Typed list of canvassers and districts for soldier's Memorial canvass and took them down town. Beattie and went down town. Typed Dorothy's story "The Great Unanswerable." Wilfred Davison & Mr. Caldwell were here playing tennis after tea in preparation for the Tournament. Went over to enquire for Miss Milne. M.A's left for Southampton to-night . Weeded bed at tennis court after tea.
