ring out of her ear and she has a very sore ear. Duncan stayed for the evening. Wrote to Clare, Sophia Albright (for Clare) Mrs. Blair and Nell,

Friday June 9 10th.

Very hot. At the office all day. Duncan up at noon. Harold Mair & Bert Krug came up to play tennis with Charles & Mr. Caldwell who beat them. Mrs. Beattie and I planted some Swiss chard & some Chinese cabbage. A thunder storm stopped the game and our gardening. Wrote to Mr. Phillips and Mrs. Pringle.

Saturday June 11th.

Rained Most of the night with a few Showers in the Morning. Spent the day at the office. Mr. Caldwell & Charles played Harold Mair & Bert Krug at tennis. "Antiques" beat. Planted out some flowers and weeded some of back flower garden. Went to Public Library. Mrs. T. not home yet?
