collection ready and took it down after dinner. Did some work for Mr. Caldwell. Charles was not feeling well so went home early. After tea did the watering. Then knit at Dorothy's baby sweater and wrote to Miss Ward & Delphine Mainwaring.

Tuesday June July 28th.

Hot again - looked like rain but didn't rain. Worked all Morning in the garden - weeded and dug the border behind the play house. Charles went to Owen Sound on a case. Left here at 11.30 a.m., got back about 8.30 p.m. Went down for the Mail & paper called at office - not needed. Went up to see Mrs. Marklevitz. Knit 26 rows on Dorothy's baby Jacket (for Eva Nellon) and Mrs. Beattie came over and we did some more weeding. Cooler to-night.
