Dated Janry 31st 1862 and due two months after date bearing six per cent Interest: Received from John Zant One Dolr. this is a Dolr. I over paid him when I paid him for the cow. Agreed with John Kennedy for a wagon I am to pay 75 Dolrs. cash down and five cords of wood next winter also one cord of wood for a barrow he is to mend for me. Fred Welling had a day.

S. 6th.

M 7th. Paid James George Two Dolrs. 11/2 of which is for Sis Lizzies shoes. Settled with John Goble to this date His A/C. against me & Robert £ 20. 3.8d. Mine against him £5.6.5d Paid him in full. I give Robert credit for s. 11 4d. for a crock of Lard. Settled with Messrs. MacLachlin Their A/C against me $10.10 cts mine $9.71 cts. Paid them full. To the credit of Philip on MacLac hlins A/C $1.33 cts. Also on Philips A/C received of Laur. Campbell Leather half a Dolrs worth Feed Welling 1 day. Paid to the Agricultural Society of Saugeen. Six Bushls pease to Kepkie at 621/2=3.75 cts. of this. Recvd 2 Dolrs.

T. 8th Fred Welling 1 day. Catherine Salter left us.

W. 9th. Catherine Salter came back again. She is to have 3 york shillings a week. Fred 1 day.

Th. 10th. Fred one day. Traded my light plow chain for the chain Rob. got of Philip. I must allow him 1.25 cts of the price of the wheel barrow.
