April | 1 | the slaughs is this morning very lively {illegible} going Watt came from Brockville on the Express to night he went out to Mr {illegible} to run a line with {illegible} Buggy he and the horse & Buggy came this evening |
2 | I split wood & took care of the stock it is cold blustery time very very hard at night with the cold wind | |
3 | Revd Mr C{illegible} preached this morning in the Methodist church and in ours at night a cold day | |
4 | I went to {illegible} to see to the council to preat on {illegible} on the 6th con of Lansdowne Wallace took to her School Bessie went to Kingston to the college | |
5 | very heavy frost last night & cold wind all day I split wood and keep on fiers | |
6 | cold day I tended the cattle & split some wood | |

8 | it is a great deal warmer this afternoon I took the skin of Killies calf it is 4 days old | |
9 | fine warm day the snow is going fast I split wood and took care of the cattle | |
10 | Revd Mr Greacie of Gananoque preached our pulpit vacent owing to Mr Matthews resigning the charge & at Fairfax & I went with him to Fairfax | |
11 | Ad took Jennie to her school I took care of the cattle Mary Hall came up from Brockville on the Express Jennet & Ad met her at the station She went home with Ad & Abbie | |
12 | Mary Hall came here this afternoon all week | |
13 | Mary Hall went home on the Express this afternoon I split some wood & took care of the cattle | |

15 | Ad fixed up some of the fences and let water of the corner field it was all a lake the furrows was not cleaned out last fall | |
