Jan 30th Sunday. Mr Walker called before we were out of bed. asking us to go to El Monte Park for a picnic. Mr & Mrs Golden and family and a Mr & Mrs Tate were going. we left about 11 oclock, out through La Mesa & El Cajon to Santee then to Lakeside and turned to the right and went along the side of the River about 5 miles, about 25 in all from our place.
