Go to Tannery at 8½. Get word that Extract is in Pound. I borrow $30 from Woodington to buy duties I only pay deposit on 5 Bbls $16, & thirty

write to Ottawa about it, to see if it can come in {freight?L&E?}


FEBRUARY THURSDAY 10 1876

Heavy Thunder Storm tonight

Go to Tannery at 7 & stay all day Begin putting in Extract this P.M. Mills hauls it over. Get telegram from Parsons that he will be over this Eveg on train. I make out a full statement of leat. sold for past 2 Years & make out profit on same. the 1st year we arranged 31 Hides pr week at 37 cts pr H. 2nd year 50 Hides pr week at 34

Meet CP at train we sit & talk till 12½. I show him Rutledges mistake of 1000. CP tells me they put {pucs?} of leat down to McArthur to 30 & Sold to LJ Campbell when there last week at 27 cts cash

Get { 1 Gal? Sale?} Whisky from Woodington
