FEBRUARY FRIDAY 11 1876

Raining hard

Get breakfast at 8, & go to Tannery get buggy from Donnelly at 12 & go to StC. I draw make Dft {draft} on TP&Co for $4900, draw out $4450 Cash, go to Welland House & count it & I {Expend?} $4150 to TP&Co Toronto & Take Rx. I retain $300 & leave balance in Bank after deducting on Des & Stamps. C Postmans with me. Buggy breaks down on way back, after tea we go over to Mrs Ketchums & spend Eve'g. get letter from McArthur about shipping 25 Hides this Inst. {?} 25 (next ?}

FEBRUARY SATURDAY 12 1876

CP & I got to Tannery ay 9. We take cars at 10 for home. Shop 25 Tann'd Hides to McArthur this A.M. 826 # 30 cts $247,80 I remain at Tannery all day. pay men off at noon for Jany. Pay Longhurst for his {Laus.?} Hides $7.42 Installment his Hardware a/c $2005 & grocery a/c $100 Pay I Sadler 75 for 3/4 days work this Month, & Makin his Blacksmith 7 @ $375. After tea go to Paffards. D Follett very {Drunk?} & also Bob Figrette.

Mother & Herbert goes out to Rogers today.
