APRIL SUNDAY 23 1876

Go to Church. Go to Tannery at 3 P.M. & stay till 6. Jno McMillan & father there.

APRIL MONDAY 24 1876

Str {Steamer} City makes her 1st trip this AM. River full of Ice. it has been snowing steady since a week ago Saturday. She cant go up River. Claesons comes over. I ship 63 Sds {sides} 8 Rolls of Sole Leat {leather} to TP&Co 1440 # which yields 60% leat. I get Horse & Buggy from D Waters & CP & I drive out to 4 mile pond I shoot a Duck but dont get it get back at 6. CP & I sit up till 1 A.M. talking, he promises to pay me my money middle of next month. Our profits for 1 Year at 150 Hides per Mch is $25000.
