AUGUST TUESDAY 1 1876

Go to Tannery at 7½. Wife Baby & nurse, Dora Martha & self go over on City at 11 & return by same Boat. Pay McMillan $300. Martha & Dora go up to house after returning. Maria waits at Tannery for me. We call in at John Sandho's. Meet Mrs {Dedie C?} at Rolands & Mrs W Ele & Mrs John C in Carriage Maria stops & speaks to Annie. We dont go out this Eve'g.

AUGUST WEDNESDAY 2 1876

Go to Tannery at 7½, remain till Noon. Bedstead comes over from Stayrs by Boat this A.M. I put it up at noon. Go to Tannery. Coming up Tanny order Horse & Buggy from D Waters & take Dora Clark & Baby out to 4 mile Pond for drive, get back at 815 & take Martha out for drive return at 10 X. Maria mad at our staying so long.
