AUGUST THURSDAY 3 1876

Go to Tannery at 8. I order Horse & Phaeton from D Waters for 4 O'Clk P.M. Maria drives Martha & Dora out to Chittendens & leaves them there. Then comes & drives me out to {StC?} with Baby Herbert & Lizzie Rogers. Maria loses her gloves. get home at 8.

AUGUST FRIDAY 4 1876

Go to Tannery at 8. Rutledge comes over in Rothsay City this Eve'g to check bouchers, etc. forgets his Papers & balance sheet. He telegraphs for them. Lilly White & friend get left from Toronto 23 Cruickshank St. Rutledge & I telegraph to Elmira & Buffalo about O Extract. Mother {Sis?}, Maria Ada Herbert Rutledge & I go to Royal. Poppen Guighs Concert. Tickets $350. Chittendens & Annie there. We wait & see two dances. Annie C does not speak to Maria, Dora nor Martha there.
