AUGUST FRIDAY 25 1876

Ed & I go down town at 9. Dont sse Boustead about the Hose Leat {leather}. In TP&Co. they want me to go to StC tomorrow & draw. Take Boat at 2 P.M. for home. Garrett & 2 Miss Hewgells on Boat. Dont go out this Eve'g.

Call & see Caston & Co about sole leat {leather} say they pay 4 cts for Oak backs, & would prefer buying from me. --

Hughs tells me McMillan was taken up & fined this P.M. $2300

AUGUST SATURDAY 26 1876

Fannie Thompson goes with me

Get Horse & Buggy from D Waters & go to St C to draw, make Dft on TP&Co 3 mos for $3200. Get 2 Dfts in Toronto & give both Dfts & procceeds to CParsons who comes over by Boat this P.M. & meets me at Tannery. He goes back on Boat. Dora Clark comes in from Chittendens this A.M. Mrs C drives her in. We dont go out this Eve'g.

As I come up from Tannery notice Bruk has altered Mrs Courtneys notice again. I notify Carey.
