OCTOBER SATURDAY 14 1876

Go to Tannery at 8. nothing of importance to day, at Tannery I take Stage for StCaths to see Lawder about trial with Bruk on the 20 prox. He remembers all I want to know. I take the 2 Shirts Carlisle sent back. They are to send me others. I pick out Cloth for Pea Jacket. I buy Gloves for Ada $100 I return by Stage at 3. very cold, F ABleleuch & A Cox come down.

OCTOBER SUNDAY 15 1876

Go to Church this AM Dont go out again today Hughs calls at 1 Hands me 2 telegrams from TP&Co, one to ship 20 Hides to McArthurs & 1 to Draw on them for $100 & pay Blake, Kerr & Boyd. The telegram came last night.
