DECEMBER MONDAY 11 1876

Try {Brenen?} today it dont work satisfactory. Date stays till dark. It stop working after date leaves. Prosser goes on to watch tonight. Geale {arriving?}, works part of day. Brown works all day & quits tonight

DECEMBER TUESDAY 12 1876

Go to Tannery at 8 find Every thing in a Mess & burner not working. Go after Date to {Plumbs?}. Date comes fown cant make it go. I abandon it, & make wood fire. Date says he wull send another Burner. & the castings {pe?} will not cost me a cent, meaning Burners etc this Expenses

Prosser dont watch tonight weather so moderate
