Croton August 1887

Sun Aug 14 th cloudy, cool in the morning hot in the midle of the day.

Mon Aug 15 th cloudy and light Showers. I was cutting Smutt and weeds out of the corn.

Tue Aug 16 th clear and pleasant. I was cutt-ing weeds and Smut out of the corn

Wed Aug 17 th cloudy rain this afternoon which is much needed. I finished cutting Smut and weeds out the corn this fore noon

Thu Aug 18 th clear part of the day and hot, I was cutting up thistles in the fore noon after noon went to Dresden with john W. Snarey. Walter took Rose & Mary to to Thamesville this fore noon. they are going to Michigan on a visit. after noon commenced plowing for wheat

Sat, Aug 20 th clear and hot. I was helping j. W. Snary make fence Walter plowing.

Mon Aug 22 nd cloudy and wet. a fine rain and was much needed. not doing a great deal to day.

Tue Aug 23 rd cloudy and pleasant. I was helping john W. Snary make fence this fore noon, after noon commenced to cut up corn. Walter finished plowing the little field for wheat

Wed Aug 24 th flying clouds.high wind from the Norih and cool. I was cut--ting up corn. Walter was harrowing the the groungd for wheat
