August 1887.

Thu Aug 25 th clear and cool, we was cut-ting up corn part of the day, came very near a frost last night.

Fri Aug 26 th cloudy and cool. this fore noon we were Seperating the Lambs from the Ewes. and visiting with Richard Bolton after noon attended Nancy Butler's funeral

Sat Aug 27 th clear and cool. it begins to Look like fall. we was cutting up corn most of the day.

Sun Aug 28 th clear and cool.

Mon Aug 29 th clear and cool morning and Evening hot in the Middle of the day we were cutting up corn.

Tue Aug 30 th clear and hot. we was fireing brush and old logs North of the big ditch

Wed Aug 31 st clear and hot in the mid--del of the day. I was fireing Slum-ps and brush over by Neigbour Brownlees in the fore noon. after noon cutting up corn.

Thu Sept 1 st cloudy a little rain this afternoon. I was cutting up corn part of the day. Tory and Walter went Dresden.

Fri Aug Sept 2 nd cloudy last Night and this fore noon wet, not doing any thing in teh fore noon after noon Walter and I went to Dresden for a plow.

Sat Sept. 3 rd clear and pleasant. I was cutt-ing up corn Walter commenced to plow the litle field west of the young Orch-ard. the machien came this Evening to thrash next Monday.

Sun Sept. 4 th clear and pleasant.
