Croton October 1887

Sat Oct 1 cloudy and showers. we were

helping John W. Snary thrash we

got along very bad.

Sun Oct 2 cloudy and warm.

Mon Oct 3 rd cloudy, high wind, some rain

this forenoon, we were helping

John W. Snary thrash the fore part

of the day. after noon picking over corn

Tue Oct 4 the cloudy and wet was moveing

the stoves in the dining and

setting rooms for winter a

John + Catherine Oliver came here

this evening on a visit.

Wed Ob Oct 5th cloudy, we attended

the east kent fair today. a good

show for the day.

The Oct 6th cloudy not doing much this

fore noon after noon was husk

-ing corn.


Croton October 1887

Sat Oct 7th clear part of day and warm. we

were husking corn. John Oliver and

wife started for home this morning.

Sun oct 8th cloudy and some rain.

Mon Oct 10th cloudy misting rain in the fore

part of the day. We were sorting corn in

the fore noon, after noon I was husking

Walter was away.

Tue Oct 11th cloudy and cool. I was husking

corn Walter helping in the fore noon

after noon he and the girls went to the

Florence Fair.

Wed Oct 12th clear part of the day and windy

we were husking and drawing in corn

Thu Oct 13th cloudy and cool. Bilton and I

attended Richard Sebian's sale of

short horns. Bought a young Bull

Fri Oct 14th cloudy and cool. Some snow

I was digging potatoes wa Haller was

plowing.
