March 1909

Mon 1. Sunshine part of the day. Will got on his stack. Paul in the afternoon wandering around with his gun, we had the rabbit for dinner that he caught in the trap Marjorie took Riexingers flour home. Paul shot their cat The girls went to George Heximer in the afternoon Tom McCredie & Don & Tom to Wills in the evening.

Teu 2 nice sunshine most of the day. thawing & muddy chilly. Paul cut a lot of wood & made a gate for the barn yard the youngsters swept the school house. The girls went to see Mrs Dell, Marjorie baked bread & made a tapioca pudding for supper, & a doe cake enough for two or three meals.

Wed 3. Terrible blustery & hailing at times from the east then in the fornoon the snow came in great flakes the air was just thick with it. Mrs McCredie to the other house the girls took her home. Arthur came home from McCredies at noon. Paul went to Riexingers after a peck of beans paid 50 cts. stayed & got his dinner. I fed the cattle at night Riexinger cattle got in the creek & lost 3 head broke through the ice Will, Arthur & Paul went down. Fannie & Ollie over in the evening a rough night the wind turned in to the west
