July 6th Mrs Jacob Day paid me $20 on monument I put Donnellys two notes in bank Thos. Slys Jas. Browns & Mrs Jane Wright sent Q.Q. Co a letter got D.A. Wiltsie old note 15 cts Jim left in morning I left after four gave Jack L. $5. Billy $5. It was a lovely day

7th We left for Harlem a little before seven took our dinner with us had tea at Joe Chapmans got Chapmans & Irwins up alright Mr Chapman paid me $35 on his & his note for balance $40 from 17th of July for one year without Int. Irwin's did not pay me my expenses to-day were 83 cts we got home about twelve was a nice day.

8th I helped Jim untill about two O'clock to hoe turnips Beans & Potatoes herby Wright started to work for him to-day we went down to Sand Bay in after noon was a nice day sprinkled rain a little in morn

9th Went out had a bath Went over to church in after noon the Orangemen turned out there was an awfull large crowd there went down we took a walk in to Aunt Ann's this eve was a nice day I came to town to night

10th got a letter from W.W. Grier with a check for $100 I went down paid $7.47 cts duty on marble & $2.85 Freight Jack L. paid $1.71 freight for me on Saturday and got up 3 peaces I am to give Bill 2.00 to pay the for the money Jack got from him & Jack is to give me 30 cts. I went to lodge I.O.O.F a while in eve paid my dues $1.50 was a nice day rained some in fore noon

11th is a nice morning I have this morn $107.23 I got as suit of under wear 90 cts a shirt tie & sleeve holders $1.35 a half bu. of potatoes for Aunt Ann 35 cts I gave Billy the $2.00 Jack got from him left Town after four came out to
