April 12th Our cow came in to day John McLaughlin & Wife called I went to church 5 cts col it snowed a little

13th I gave 10 cts for ledpencil Geo was in for tea & went home I gave him $5 on what he lent me on Saturday I gave Mary $10 write to T Dillon & Mrs S Francis of Kingston was a nice day but cold

14th I went up in the fornoon got some sand & 2 cwt of Bran at $140 cwt & 1 of corn at $1.60 & a bu of whole corn & 5 cts total $5.25 Went down to Edwards paid for baby carriage $12.75 paid Bennett in full to day for putting in pump & fixing stove got a suit of clothes $1300 got 2110 bls of hay from Geo Dempster at $1800 per ton come to about $1900 I gave him $1000 on it 25 cts to Jas Bishop for hauling a load from station have left tonight $42 94 cts was a nice day

15th Wrote a card to Mrs Wm Baker & one to Andy went down paid $14.10 cts duty $8.06 cts freight I hauled the marble up myself three loads Mr B{illegible} gave me 200 for a 13 ft pipe & some cement I took ba{cut off}

16th I got some work in shop ready to set up in front room Jack L helped me in eve I gave him $1000 was a cold windy day

17th This is Good Friday is a nice day I worked part of the day went to church in the eve paid Taylor & Green for a ton of coal I got last week
