Sun July 31. Fine bright and very cool. I went to church. Nellie and Mary there. Mrs Hame and Harry here. very cool strong wind. the first real cool day for two weeks. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church.

Mon Aug 1. Civic Holiday. a few squalls but mostly fair and cool. Mary Watson here in the evening. Jennie and Tom Speight.

Tues Aug 2. Fine and quite cool. I went to barn raising at Emmanuel Bowes in the afternoon, Mary Watson here in eve.

Wed Aug 3. Fine and quite cool, getting dusty but perfect weather. Mrs D. and I for corn. Tommy Bowes here in the evening.

Thur Aug 4. Fine bright and cool. Annie, Aunt Mattie and I for a drive to Sharon. Started renovating church this week

Fri Aug 5. Fine and a little warmer. Aunt Mattie and I at the grave yard. in eve. a fine week for getting grain in.

Sat Aug 6. A few heavy showers in afternoon. I went up to the Springs. but too wet sold cakes and postponed. Pic-nic for two weeks

Sun Aug 7. Dull and cool. I went to church. scaffolding all up, but we had service. Wellies family also Mrs. Maguire and the children here for tea. Wellies took Auntie for a drive. M. bot tomatoes

Mon Aug 8. Fine but dull and cool. Annie and I for a walk in the evening. a very early harvest a great many through by nearly so.
